 26. The world's first granite temple is the Brihadeeswarar temple in Tanjore, Tamil Nadu.  The shikhara of this temple is made of 80 ton pieces of granite.  This magnificent temple was built during the reign of Rajaraja Chola in a span of only 5 years from 1004 to 1009 AD.

 27. India is the world's largest democracy and seventh largest country in the world and one of the ancient civilizations.

 28. The game of snakes and ladders was prepared by the poet saint Gyan Dev in the thirteenth century. It was originally called Mokshapat.  In this game, the stairs represented the blessings while the snakes represented the demerits.  This game was played with shells and dice.  Later, many changes were made in this game, but its meaning remained the same i.e. good deeds take people to heaven while bad deeds put them in the cycle of birth again.

 29. The world's highest cricket ground is at a place called Chail in Himachal Pradesh.  It was prepared in 1993 by leveling the land at an altitude of 2,444 meters above sea level.

 30. Ayurveda is the earliest medical branch known to mankind.  Charaka, who is considered the father of this branch of science, consolidated Ayurveda 2500 years ago.
