He also traveled to the quarter-finals of the Junior World Championship in Mexico in 2010. She was also a member of the Indian women's team in the 2010 Uber Cup. In 2012, Sindhu defeated Nozomi Okuhara of Japan to win the Under-19 Youth Asian Badminton Championship. In the 2014 World Badminton Championship, she created history by winning her second consecutive silver medal. She became the first Indian shuttler to win two consecutive medals at the World Championships.

Along with Sindhu, her coach also tried to understand her game by watching old videos of some international players. This made Sindhu's game stronger.
